Again and again in my life I have turned to nature for reassurance. I have found meaning, beauty, and healing in her colors and textures: they pull at my heart and make me want to capture and share them. Whether I am working figuratively or in the abstract, I draw on this mysterious language to communicate the hope and comfort that I feel is so needed in our vast and hectically-paced world. After a 2 decade career encouraging children and adults to express their authentic and creative voices, I finally decided to take my own advice in 2020. I am grateful every day for the ability to choose art and my own fulfillment.
