Bio
Predominately self taught, Joni has been creating art since childhood.  A versatile artist, she employs various media in her work - oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, colored pencil, alcohol ink, marker, graphite, and pen have all found a home on her pieces. With a keen eye, focused attention to detail, and expressive use of color she captures the heart and soul of her subjects. Her styles range from abstract to illustrative to realism. She has exhibited her work in local galleries and has participated in many group shows as well as solo shows. She has illustrated three children’s books for the late Berks County author Janice Chappie. Her work has been featured on local television as well as print media. She is also in demand for commissioned pieces: homes, businesses, churches, vehicles, people, and pets have been past commissioned work. Her work is collected both locally and nationally.
